"The outer edge of each tread is supported on a system of 3/4 (1. 90 cm) inches diameter collared m.s sleeves riding on 1/2 inches (1. 27 cm) diameter m.s. roads. Each road is secured top and bottom in a m.s. channel at floor slab level. The handrail is supported on brackets welded to every fifth sleeve and is striffened by raking 3/8 (0. 95 cm) inches diameter rods wich engage in each tread."
